Grooming helps to develop personality

The most important aspect of one\'s personality. Etiquette, which means "the art of doing the right thing at the right time in social settings," is the foundation of personal grooming.

A well-groomed person who follows etiquette or standard behavior stands out in a crowd. Etiquette is about presenting yourself with the polish that demonstrates that you and your words can be taken seriously. It is about feeling at ease in social situations. Grooming is concerned with "what we do, how we do it, what we say, and how we say it." Remember that "every second, someone is forming a judgment or opinion about you." Personal grooming is critical, especially in the workplace.

You are a complex human being who faces many complex experiences daily. As a result, you may lose sight of your inner self and fail to notice how your words and actions affect not only you but others as well. Increasing your selfawareness of your current personality traits and how they affect you and others will assist you in identifying areas where you may want to change. Personality traits, values, morals, beliefs, habits, and emotional and psychological needs are the primary areas of self-awareness.

Self-awareness of your personality can help you navigate your world more effectively by gravitating toward situations that provide you with positive experiences and rewards and avoiding those that can be destructive and cause you undue stress. In other words, self-awareness of your personality will assist you in analyzing how you react and feel about things to make better life choices.

Make a list of personality traits you want to improve or enhance. These may be characteristics you already have to some extent. They can also be characteristics that you don\'t currently possess but wish you did.

For example, you may be naturally shy and want to become more outgoing.

If you\'re already a creative person, you could work on expanding your creative abilities in other areas of your life.

Don\'t try to improve too many personality traits at once. Choose just one or two at first to avoid becoming overwhelmed.

Make a list of some bad habits you want to break. Make a list of any characteristics that you dislike. This list should include characteristics that bother you or make your life more difficult.

For example, if you have a habit of interrupting people, you may decide to break that habit.
